One day a few years ago I was in the supermarket accepting my change which as usual included yet another 5cent piece. Another one! My wallet was full of them. Lots and lots of annoying little 5cent pieces. If I dropped one I often didn't even bother picking it up. But on this day I got thinking....
Imagine if everyone gave up their 5cent coins at the cash register or added an extra 10 or 20cents - even a dollar to the end of a transaction to give to a greater cause
Imagine if we all collected our small change and put it towards making a difference to someone less fortunate
Imagine if we all worked together in a very small way, by donating our small change to something bigger than ourselves
Imagine the power in that....Imagine if there was an organisation dedicated to making this happen
As the song goes we do believe our children are our future and that it is with our children, all around the world that our future, our quality of life and our planet depends. We believe that our children and young people are the ambassadors of a peaceful global village.
Through creating and promoting peace, love & togetherness early in life we are taking positive steps towards a world and future where poverty, war and a world in crisis will be a thing of the past.
I have never understood a world with borders, a world where there is war or a world where too many have so very little when there is more than enough to go around - enough for every single one of us if we lived in harmony with each other and our planet.
Can you imagine our world united as one - one great global community?
We do, hence the creation of The Small Change Foundation; a group of passionate people committed to creating BIG change with small change and a whole lot of love!
